Basics of computer Networking:
Network:- Networking is the process of connecting two or more computers and smart devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile phones, and routers) so they can share information and resources easily. It helps in fast communication, data sharing, and smooth connectivity between different devices.
Networking:- Networking is the communication and sharing of information between connected devices.
“Types of Networks”
- LAN(Local Area network ): A LAN is a network that connects devices within a small area such as a home, school, or office.
- CAN(Campus Area Network):A CAN is a network that connects multiple buildings within a campus or organization.
- MAN(Metropolitan Area network): A MAN , which optimized for a larger
geographic area than a LAN, ranging from several blocks of buildings to entire
city.
- WAN (Wide Area Network):A WAN is a network connection of wide area
such as the world.
- PAN(Personal Area Network): A PAN is a personal area network that connects personal information technology devices within a short range, usually up to 10 meters. It allows devices to communicate easily using technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB. It is also known as Wireless Personal Area network(WPAN).
- SAN (Storage Area Network):A SAN is a high-speed network that connects servers with storage devices for fast data storage and access. It is mainly used in banks, companies, and data centers for fast data storage and access.
